The show this week is Veg Around the World : France
As always I have made a complete meal including appetizers,
main course and dessert from the country. This is show about making authentic tasting
ethnic food (ethnic to the country it's
from J) easily.
Typically when we think of French food- it is very meat
based but here I have showcased easy vegetarian versions of some old favorites!
One of my pet peeves at French restaurants has been the unavailability
of Vegetarian French Onion Soup- the soup always looked so good with the cheese
crusted bread and the thick soup- and I never got to try it!
Well- here is an easy recipe for that- and it has been
devoured by many who had the option of eating it with meat too!
Also the Chocolate Mousse recipe will become a favorite with
any kids who like to cook- it is very easy and very tasty!
The menu for today includes, Tomato Tarte, Avocado with
Balsamic Vinaigrette, French onion soup and Chocolate mousse.
I would recommend listening to some French music along with
the food. My favorites are La vie en rose by Edith Piaf (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzeLynj1GYM)
